Additional Description: This Rosenwald School served the African-American community of Galesville from 1929 to 1956, and afterwards was a community center. The building, located on Benning Road a half mile west of the Welcome to Galesville marker, has fallen into disuse but the town has plans to restore it back to a community center and museum.
