Caption: Carl W. Legant Memorial Park Marker
Additional Description: This 2018 marker, in honor of Countryside's long-time mayor Carl LeGant, is a few paces south of the clocktower and the marker dedicated to veterans. The text: "Carl LeGant was one of the founding fathers when Countryside was incorporated in 1960. He served the community in various capacities including Mayor from 1978- 2007. His leadership and vision were instrumental in developing Memorial Park. The City Council wants to recognize his exemplary service to the Countryside community by rededicating this park in his name."
