Marker detail: Map of Winneshiek County, Iowa, 1856 | Additional Description: Proposed railroad routes radiating from Decorah are indicated by orange dotted lines. The rail line from the northwest was never built which placed the Arlington House seven blocks away from the existing passenger depot.
