America’s Most Famous Cannon
When on September 21, 1780, Moses Sherwood
and John Peterson, Continental Militiamen,
took it to Teller’s Point and fired on the
Vulture, Major Andre could not return
to New York on it, and so was captured at
Tarrytown.
