Spurs of Major General John Sedgwick
Photographer: Bill Coughlin
Taken: September 27, 2009
Caption: Spurs of Major General John Sedgwick
Additional Description: According to legend, a cadet that is deficient in academics can visit the Sedgwick Monument in full dress and under arms at midnight the night before the term-end examination. If the cadet spins the rowels on the monument’s spurs (seen in the photo), it will bring good luck which, hopefully, will result in the cadet passing the test.
