Thirty-sixth site on the Historic Sites of Abbeville Tour
The 3-story building served as a jail until 1948. In 1979, the late Helen Ladd Neuffer established the museum and it has undergone renovations by Abbeville County. Note the Creswell Cabin in the rear, an authentic settler's cabin ca. 1837 that was moved here from its original site in Troy, S.C. (Source:
