Twenty-sixth Site on the Historic Sites of Abbeville Tour
Because of its unusual roof-style, this is Abbeville's most outstanding example of Second Empire or Mansardic style house. (Source: Historic Sites Tour of Abbeville County by the Abbeville Visitors Council (2010), pg 13.) The house was built for William A. lee, who was editor of the Post and Courier.
