Caption: Gin House
Additional Description: Moved from a local farm, this gin house occupies the site of the Bratton's original gin house. Powered by mules, the gin (inside) seperated cotton lint from seeds. In 1850, the plantation produced 240 bales of ginned cotton, each weighing about 400 pounds.
