Academy Methodist Church, established 1865 | Additional Description: The current Academy Methodist Church was established in 1865 as the M. E South Church with the building being completed in 1869. It is the oldest continually used church building in Fresno County. A separate marker for the church was dedicated in 1985 by the Academy Circle. The church sits on Madsen Ave a little less than a mile from the marker.
