New Idria Mine - Rotary Kiln | Additional Description: "New Idria, California. A rotary kiln at the mercury extraction plant of the New Idria Quicksilver Mining Company. A 1200 degree Fahrenheit heat drives off the sulphur and vaporizes the mercury, later condensed"
