For more than 3,000 miles, the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail travels the routes of Smith's exploratory voyages on the Chesapeake Bay, several major rivers, and historic Indian homelands. The trail includes parks, museum sites, driving tours, and water trails, offering opportunities for recreation and discovery throughout the Chesapeake watershed.
