1. 6 N. Washington St. Marker
Inscription.  A typical New Bremen German-style structure built between 1879 and 1889, it was used as a combination home and retail business. The building was constructed on the corner property line to maximize the area for a vegetable garden and also features a summer kitchen. In 1995, the building was purchased by Ruth Ann Schwieterman in order to preserve the structure.
