Recibio preseas Generalisimo Morelos V. de Quiroga y Manuel Gamio (Post mortem) Hijo predilecto de Taretan. Su busto es uno de los 10 maestros distinguidos en Mexico en la SEP.

Trainer of educators and social leaders of America
Educator, writer and poet
Promoted the advancement of indigenous peoples in Mexico and Latin America. Senior official of the SEP (Secretaría de Educación Pública or Secretariat of Public Education). He founded large institutions such as CREFAL (Centro de Cooperación Regional para la Educación de Adultos en América Latina y el Caribe or the Center for Regional Cooperation for Adult Education in Latin America and the Caribbean), which was promoted by UNESCO.

He received the Generalisimo Morelos, Vasco de Quiroga and Manuel Gamio (Post mortem) prizes. He was a favorite son of Taretan. His bust is one of the ten distinguished teachers in Mexico at the SEP.
