George Lester — Hilda Claudia Rocker


Born in the Sinngle Creek area, Lester grew up in Kissimmee. Hilda, a teacher, moved from Georgia in 1920, married Lester in 1922. They had citrus groves in Osceola, Polk and Orange Counties, opening Osceola Fruit Distributors in 1928, adding canning and concentrate plant later. Members of the First Methodist Church, they gave generously to the community.
