1. Cardiff Hill Marker
Inscription. This is the foot of Cardiff Hill, made famous in Mark Twain's books "Tom Sawyer" and "Huckleberry Finn." On the hill, Tom, Huck, and their gang played and roamed at will.

Regarding Cardiff Hill. Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain) spent his boyhood in Hannibal. Later he used the town, and Cardiff Hill, as the setting for some of his most famous stories, including The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
