On the 200th anniversary of
the marriage of General Ignacio de Allende y Unzaga and
Maria de la Luz Agustina de las Fuentes
in this venerable and historic Sanctuary of Jesus of Nazareth
the College of Architects of
the city of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato and the
parish priest thankfully dedicate this marker.

From the interior of this temple, the insurgents of 1810 took the banner of the Virgin of Guadalupe, on September 16 of the same year, which served as a flag in the struggle for Mexican independence
