1. George Washington Birthplace Site Marker
Inscription. On the ground before you once stood the Tidewater plantation home where, on February 22, 1732, George Washington was born, the son of Augustine Washington and his second wife, Mary Ball Washington.
 
Erected by National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior.
