Inscription. The Sunday School of the First Methodist Episcopal Church opened by the Asbury Sunday School Society November 17, 1816. Oldest Sunday School in Baltimore. Erected this tablet October 21 1916 in commemoration of the centenary of the Asbury Sunday School Society-Organized at the Light Street Methodist Episcopal Church October 21 1816
