Lost September 3, 1925

Lord, guard and guide the men who fly
through the great spaces in the sky.
Be with them always in the air,
in darkening storms or sunlight fair.

2. Shenandoah Plaza Marker
The structure in the background is “Hangar One”. Built in 1931, it housed the USS Macon, an airship similar to the USS Shenandoah. Hangar One is one of the world's largest freestanding structure. The exterior panels were removed in 2011-2012.
