1. Kinder, Louisiana Marker
Inscription. Named for James A. Kinder, who received a homestead certificate for land in 1892. Kansas City, Watkins, and Gulf Railway arrived in 1890. Kinder was incorporated as a village in 1903. Patrick E. Moore served as first mayor.
 
Location. 30° 29.134′ N, 92° 50.988′ W. Marker is in Kinder, Louisiana, in Allen Parish.
