Sown by the first Bishop of Guatemala Francisco Marroquín

It was from this historic tree from where Blessed Brother Pedro de Bethancourt took a cutting to plant the tree in the Church of the Calvary in Antigua Guatemala

Location. 14° 31.593′ N, 90° 45.107′ W. Marker is in Aldea San Miguel Escobar, Sacatepéquez, in Municipality of Ciudad Vieja. Marker is on Calle a San Pedro las Huertas, on the left when traveling east. Touch for map. The marker is inside of a small gated area in front of the Catholic Church of San Miguel Escobar, on the road from Ciudad Vieja to San Pedro las Huertas. Marker is in this post office area: Aldea San Miguel Escobar, Sacatepéquez 03012, Guatemala.
