This plaza was constructed and dedicated as a place in honor of our workers, who in 1916-1917 went before the Constituent Deputies of Querétaro demanding fair labor laws and whose claim resulted in the current Constitution’s Article 123.

Location. 20° 35.986′ N, 100° 21.421′ W. Marker is in Santiago de Querétaro, Querétaro, in Municipality of Querétaro. Marker is on Avenida del Río Poniente, on the left when traveling west. Touch for map. The marker is in a small park, directly south of the Catholic Church of Hércules (la Iglesia de la Purísima Concepción). The marker is on top of the raised platform with two sets of stairs. The metal railing around the monument was painted red, green and white (the colors of the Mexican flag) at one time. Note the nearby murals in the park.
