2. Narciso María Loreto de la Canal Marker
The marker is on the right side of the nearest column. The building was the Colonel Loreto de la Canal's residence as Mayor. The colonel was also the head of the Queen's Dragoons of the Spanish Royal Army in San Miguel. At the start of the independence movement in 1810 he left his weapons and supplies to the rebels and left town.

The building is known as the "Casa del Mayorazgo de la Canal" (House of the Mayor de la Canal) and is now a Banamex-funded museum.
