Inscription. Designed by Tom Bendelow of Aberdeen Scotland. Known as the Johnny Appleseed of American Golf. Oldest municipal golf course in Baton Rouge. Est. in 1928; golden age of golf in America.
 
Erected by National Register of Historic Places.
