1. Thomas T. Gore Marker
Inscription. First settler in what is now Calhoun City. Born 1776. Left S. Carolina in 1817 for Alabama. Came to Mississippi in 1840. Pioneer, politician, patriot, planter. Died October 20, 1855. Buried on old homesite ½ mi. NW.
 
Erected 1986 by Mississippi Department of Archives and History.
