1. U.S. Ewing's Approach. Marker
Inscription. Beginning of Ewing's Approach to the Confederate Stockade Redan. Work on it begun, May 23, 1863, by details from his brigade and from 1st and 3D brigades, 3D Division, 15th Corps.
 
Erected by National Park Service, Department of the Interior.
 
Location. 32° 22.285′ N, 90° 50.479′ W. Marker is in Vicksburg National Military Park, Mississippi, in Warren County. Marker is on Old Graveyard Road 0.1 miles west of Union Avenue, on the left when traveling west. Touch for map.
