Inscription. This bell once hung in the belfry of the original Wormleysburg School. The first school was located at the corner of Front and Houck Streets.

Below the school marker is a plaque, obviously much older than the marker, that lists the officers for the Wormleysburg School.

The bell was cast by the Meneely Bell Foundry of Troy, NY, in 1867.
