Lemke Building
Ferdinand Lemke built this structure to replace his saloon, the “Yellowstone,” located on First Street across from the Umatilla House hotel. The saloon was damaged by fire in 1909 and condemned by the fire marshal, who owned a competing saloon. Later uses of the building included the Parlor Grocery and the meat-cutting firm of A.S. Milne.
