1. Johannes Klockstapel / John's Bell Tower Marker
Inscription.

[English translation:]
This bell tower was built in 1692 adjacent to a wooden chapel (built in 1636), which was demolished when the new church of St. John was completed in 1890. The old church was located in front of the girls school, at Johannesgatan 18.

Of the tower's three bells, two were moved to the new church, where they ring within the clock tower. In 1904, the smallest bell was moved to the newly-built Church of St. Stefan. (Marker Number 2025.)
