1. Harbeson Railroad Station Privy Marker

Inscription. Established c. 1870 as Broadkin Station, the Harbeson Railroad Station served first the Junction & Breakwater and later the Pennsylvania Railroads as a passenger depot for nearly sixty years. After that time, the station continued to serve as a freight station. The privy was moved from Harbeson to the Bryan family farm on Dairy Farm Road outside the Lewes and donated to the Society in 2005. This structure is a rare example of a back-to-back double two-seat privy.

Erected 2005 by Lewes Historical Society; Donated by Richard L. Bryan in memory of his grandparents, Granville P. Bryan & Elsie Megee Bryan.
