1. Jacob Van Blaren Marker
Inscription. Anthony House Way Station, Pub & Tavern was located just off shore from Commodore Park. It was a stage stop between Marysville & the Virginia City Silver Mines. Jacob Van Blaren, a Civil War bugler, stopped at Anthony House for a period of time and died while staying there. He was in his forties at his death. Proprietors of Anthony House decided to bury him behind the building and it wasn't until Boise Cascade was in negotiations with the historical society that they named the area surrounding his burial site Bugler Park. It is uncertain at what point in Lake Wildwood's history that the park's name was changed to Commodore Park

Erected by Boise Cascade.
