Inscription. To the long forgotten families, friends, neighbors, public schools and churches that collectively planted a small mustard seed and unselfishly created a cohesive, black community known as the "Bottom," we dedicate the memory of our home and in so doing, share with you your well deserved place in the annals of the history of the District of Columbia.
