Location. 34° 55.505′ N, 85° 14.888′ W. Marker is near Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, in Catoosa County. Memorial is on Alexander Bridge Road north of Brotherton Road, on the left when traveling north. This marker is located in the national park that preserves the site of the Chickamauga Battlefield, along one of the park's east to west roadways. More about this marker. This gravestone is listed with the National Park Service, and included on their, "List of Classified Structures." According to the description information provided by the National Park Service, the marker is a, “1' x 4' x 2', concrete grave marker that replaced original marker. Surrounding 4' x 8' iron fence installed in 1974."
In locating this marker I used the "Chickamauga Battlefield" map, that I purchased at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, Visitor Center, to determine both the marker number for this marker and the marker's location in relation to the rest of the park's monuments, markers, and tablets.
