1st Brigade - Brigadier General August Willich.
2d Brigade - Colonel Joseph B. Dodge.
3d Brigade - Colonel Philemon P. Baldwin.
Johnson's Division marched from the vicinity of Catlett's Gap about 5:30 a.m. September 19th, via Crawfish Springs and Widow Glenn's House, reaching the Lafayette Road at this point about noon. At once moved eastward to the support of Baird, and deploying its lines and changing direction to the right with Baldwin on the left, Willich on the right and Dodge in reserve, became heavily engaged about l p.m., about 800 yards a little south of east, with the left of Forrest's Cavalry and Jackson's and Smith's Brigades of Cheatham's Division.
