Estatua erigida por el estado de Puebla. Escultor Jesús Corro F. Sus restos descansan en el Panteón de San Fernando de la Ciudad de México.
1813 -1875
Nació en la ciudad de Puebla. Miembro del Partido Liberal, fue Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores durante los gobiernos de Comonfort, de Juárez y de Lerdo de Tejada. Autor de los Códigos Civil y de Procedimientos Civiles que rigieron su época. Murió en la ciudad de México.

Statue erected by the state of Puebla. The sculptor was Jesus Corro F. His remains rest in the San Fernando Cemetery in Mexico City.
1813-1875
He was born in the city of Puebla. A member of the Liberal Party, he was Minister of Foreign Affairs during the governments of Comonfort, Juárez and Lerdo de Tejada. Author of the Civil Procedural Codes that governed his time. He died in Mexico City.
