Inscription. This marks the place where Gen. N.B. Forrest with 322 men captured Col. A.D. Streight with 1466 men May 3, 1863

The Sons of Confederate Veterans Alabama Division has added concrete paths and is planning for additional wayside informational markers at the site. It was rededicated in 2014.
