Regarding Juan de Dios Peza. Juan de Dios Peza (Ciudad de México June 29, 1852 - March 16, 1910) was a poet, diplomat, politician and writer. He was a member of the Mexican Academia de la Lengua (Academy of the Language). His most famous work, "Canto del Hogar" (Song of the Home), is referenced in the marker text.

Interestingly, the marker was put up by the cigarette company El Buen Tono, founded in 1894 by the Frenchman Ernesto Pugibet.
