1. Home of Adlai E. Stevenson I - Marker
Inscription. Home of Adlai E. Stevenson I - Vice President of the United States (1893-1897). He and his bride, Letitia Green, moved to this house following their 1866 wedding and lived here until 1868. Mr. Stevenson practiced law at the Metamora Court House from 1858 to 1868.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Central Illinois Landmarks Foundation, the Stevenson House is owned by the Metamora Association for Historic Preservation.
