Inscription. Designed by architect Frank Saum, who in partnership with his brother built and gave his name to the Saum Hotel (1919 S. Grand, now Saum Apartments). The storefront was home to one of several Kroger grocery locations in the district, as well as the St. Louis Baby Carriage Co.
