1. Fire Station Marker
Inscription. Built in 1931 and vacated in 1978 due to earthquake damage. Became the home of the Canoga Park Chamber of Commerce 1982. Dedicated as the Canoga Park Community Center 10/26/1986. Dedication of the Canoga-Owensmouth Historical Museum in part of the Community Center 5/29/1987. Building refurbished after the 1994 Earthquake. Home to many organizations.
 
Erected 2005 by Canoga Park Improvement Association and the Canoga-Owensmouth Historical Society.

Regarding Canoga Park Fire Station #72. The town of Canoga Park was originally called Owensmouth, named in 1912 for the Owens River Aqueduct being constructed to bring water to the area.

The Canoga-Owensmouth Historical Museum is open on the second Saturday of the month, 11am-1pm.
