On November 15, 1969, after probably many more than seven documented relocations, the Post Office was relocated at the present site at 60 Main Street, with 9,650 sq. ft. enlarged space.

On July 1, 1976, motorized carrier service replaced the original delivery service inaugurated in 1920. Between 1920 and 1978 Woodbridge mail volume increased from 120,000 pieces to 14 million pieces annually.

The history of the Woodbridge Post Office includes several Main Street sites. From the late 1860’s until the early 1900’s the Post Office was at Brown’s Drug Store, which was located between School Street and Amboy Avenue. Later in 1912, it was moved again to 54 Main Street. On November 1, 1951, the Post Office was relocated to a new facility, 399 Pearl Street to better service the increased window service operation.

Erected 1978 by the United States Post Office.
