Regarding Stage Run. The Jeromes settled in this area about 1717 from France. In genealogies, Isaac Jerome is referred to as Captain Jerome. Isaac and his wife later moved to near Syracuse, NY. Their son Leonard Jerome became a highly successful stock broker and financier in New York City.
The stage run started in Schenectady and ended up in Hagaman,NY. A string of post offices developed along its route.
