Originally in the defensive system of the city walls, Clock Tower used to belong the Duke's Palace complex, which was pulled down at the end of the 19th cent. A public clock was incorporated into the tower in 1466 by the decision of the Duke Venier. The bell which is presently on the roof of the tower is from the year 1564 and it is decorated with religious motifs.
