Inscription.  Here a SUPPLY TEAM of the Florida Militia 3 wagons & guards Enroute from Ft. Brooke (Tampa) to inland encampments was AMBUSHED & MASSACRED by SEMINOLE INDIANS, May 17, 1856.
Erected by Hillsborough County Historical Commission.
