1. Coal Silos Marker
Inscription.  Built by Griffin Lumber Co. fall 1906. Each silo held a different grade of coal. Built using cement blocks invented by Griffin Lumber.
 
Erected 2014 by Village of Hudson Falls.
 
Location. 43° 18.129′ N, 73° 34.613′ W. Marker is in Hudson Falls, New York, in Washington County. Marker is on Maple Street (New York State Route 196), on the right when traveling east. Touch for map. At the feeder canal and across the street from the Highway Department. Marker is at or near this postal address: 72 Maple Street, Hudson Falls NY 12839, United States of America. 2. Coal Silos Marker
Yup! That's the marker behind the locked gates
technology here. However, they were developed much earlier than this marker indicates. The first successful block making machine became available in 1849.
