El inmortal caudillo de la independencia nacional, cura Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, estuvo en este templo con motivo de su dedicación y en ejercicio de su ministerio del 10 de octubre de 1800.

English translation:
The immortal leader of National Independence, the priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla was here at the dedication of this temple and participated as part of his ministry on October 10, 1800.
