Regarding 500 Home Runs. Mark McGwire became only the 16th MLB player to be placed into the "500 home run club", at the time. While future St. Louis Cardinal Albert Pujols was able to make that achievement later on, McGwire is, as of May 2020, the only player to accomplish the feat while in a Cardinals uniform. By the end of his playing career in 2001, he totaled 583 home runs.
