This tree is one of four, planted to celebrate the lives of Belfast's citizens who were over 100 years of age, during the City Hall's centenary year.

The four trees, one at each corner of the City Hal, represent the four seasons. The names of the centenarians born in those seasons are inscribed in the leaves below.
