1. Temple Emanuel Marker

Inscription. Jews have participated in the social, economic and political life of the Pacific Northwest from the earliest period of exploration and settlement. Temple Emanu-El, erected at 3th and Madison was the first permanent Jewish House of Worship in Washington State, 1892. The synagogue, designed by the noted Spokane architect Herman Preusse, remained at this site until 1934."

Erected 2003 by Spokane City-County Office of Historic Preservation, Jewish American Society for Historic Preservation.
