Cuando la nación entera lamentaba la destrucción de Chetumal, la noche del 27 de septiembre de 1955, al paso del Huracan Janet, los sobrevivientes descubrieron con asombro una singular e increíble demostración de las fuerzas de la naturaleza.
Una tabla, impulsada por el viento encontró a su paso un recio poste del alumbrado publico y penetró su centro sin mayor dificultad. La presente es una replica de aquel suceso, que de inmediato fue motivo de una creciente celebridad.

The Force of Hurricane Janet
While the entire nation lamented the destruction of Chetumal, on the night of September 27, 1955, in the wake of Hurricane Janet, the survivors discovered with amazement a singular and incredible demonstration of the forces of nature.
A board, driven by the wind, found a sturdy public light post and was inserted in its center without much difficulty. The present is a replica of that event,
